SURPRISING TWISTS:
Unexpected twists of fate spiral through this week as unpredictable Uranus squares the karmic North and South Nodes of the Moon. The nodes of the Moon are points in space with great significance: the North Node reveals humanity's current course of evolutionary growth, while the South Node indicates the behaviors and attitudes we collectively must rise above, if we are to make progress.

As radical Uranus squares the nodal axis, we may experience a strong restlessness or rebelliousness. Some may feel an urgent need to speak their truth and to break free of current structures and limitations. Surprising news could conflict with our preconceived notions and require us to rewrite the story we've been telling ourselves. New insights and perspectives challenge us to alter habitual behaviors.

With the South Node in perfectionist Virgo, events that occur this week might trigger old patterns of fault-finding and blame, nervousness and worry, criticism and overanalysis. However, these are the qualities that we are called to be aware of and to release. In their place, the North Node in visionary Pisces guides us to instead choose compassion and forgiveness, trust and faith, nonjudgment, and a higher spiritual perspective.

VENUS, JUPITER, AND ERIS:
The annual rendezvous of Venus, the Lesser Benefic, and Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, is generally thought to be a time when we experience optimism, good feelings, and happy relationships. However, when the two Benefics align on June 9, they are also exactly square the dwarf planet Eris, so overly idealistic expectations of the Venus-Jupiter conjunction are not likely to be realized.

In mythology, Eris, the Goddess of Discord, is the only immortal not invited to a wedding celebration. In her anger at being ignored, she shows up to the party anyway, but has her revenge planned. She tosses a golden apple with the inscription "To the Fairest" into the gathering, and the three goddesses in attendance—Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena—each lay claim to the apple. The rivalry between them begins a sequence of events that ultimately lead to the Trojan War.

NEW MOON:
We are in the final, waning phase of the Moon throughout this coming week, leading up to the New Moon next weekend. The new lunar cycle begins at 7:53 p.m. PDT on Sunday, June 14, when the Sun and Moon align at 24°03' Gemini. The two luminaries are closely sextile audacious Eris at the time of the lunation, indicating a greater willingness to take risks, to speak uncomfortable truths, and to advocate for self and for others.

The New Moon is also exactly aligned with Pulsar NP 0531, currently located at about 24°35' Gemini. This highly luminous, rapidly rotating neutron star emits sweeping beams of radiation that are visible across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from radio frequencies to gamma rays. The energies of this Pulsar are said to enhance our capacity for disciplined mental activity. It can help us to ignore distractions in the environment and to focus our attention on whatever we are working on.

DAILY ASPECTS THIS WEEK (June 8 to 14, 2026):

Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important aspects, day by day:

Monday
No major aspects are exact today

Tuesday
Venus conjunct Jupiter, Venus square Eris, Jupiter square Eris: Although we may be feeling loving and generous today, we could also be aware of a level of discontent or even anger that interferes with our ability to fully relax and feel secure.
Mercury square Saturn: The mind may be pessimistic today. There could be disruptions or delays in communications and transportation that cause frustration.
Saturn conjunct Pallas Athena: This aspect assists in our ability to concentrate and to discipline our minds. Some may be assertive in standing up for individual rights and in fighting against social injustice.

Wednesday
Pluto trine Ceres: We may feel very passionate about caring for loved ones, or about defending home and family.
Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto: We may experience an internal or external conflict at this time. Some may try to control, coerce, or manipulate through words.

Thursday
No major aspects are exact today.

Friday
Uranus square nodal axis: Unexpected or sudden events could cause us to question our point of view and may prompt us to do some soul-searching. We are being challenged to move beyond fault-finding and blame and to focus on heart-based solutions.
Venus square Chiron: People may be touchy and defensive today, with a tendency to take things personally.

Saturday
Venus enters Leo: Venus will travel through the sign of the Lion for about four weeks, from June 13 to July 9. During this transit, we are encouraged to be more generous, playful, and expressive in our affections. The challenge of Venus in Leo is not to allow a need for attention and external validation to undermine our authenticity.
Mars semisquare Neptune: We may be unclear as to our best course of action at this time. Important decisions may best be delayed until after the New Moon.

Sunday
Mercury semisquare Uranus: Nervous energy is heightened with this aspect, and the mind may be overactive.
New Moon: A new lunar cycle begins at 7:53 p.m. PDT today, when the Sun and the Moon align at 24°03' Gemini.

*****

If Your Birthday Is This Week (June 8 to 14):

This year, you are invited and perhaps challenged to explore your deeper motivations in some area of your life. Complications that arise could trigger old patterns of control and fear-based behaviors, based on a belief that others hold more power than you. These situations provide an opportunity for you to observe the fears that lie beneath your reactions. Ultimately, this can be a very empowering year, where you reclaim your voice and no longer question your intellectual capacity or verbal abilities. (Solar Return Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto)
